Bug Description

ubuntu 10.04.1
indicator 0.3.7

In Evolution, I have 4 or 5 mail accounts set up, including one for my mailbox on localhost. The Indicator shows the localhost mailbox with a zero count, but no other mailboxes are shown, and no way to select which one(s) I actually wish to see... like my main ISP's POP mailbox.

Cheers, Al

Dear Heynnema,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

Additionally, what is indicator 0.3.7?

Darran

Darren,

Sorry for the incomplete info. Maybe I assumed that there was enough info there.

However...

indicator 0.3.7 refers to the Indicator Applet 0.3.7 that resides in the top panel in 10.04. It attempts to consolidate mail, chat, and broadcast notifications.

To see my problem, I just launch Evolution, and the Indicator Applet changes to show more info about Evolution's status, to include how many messages are in a given mailbox. However, of my various POP accounts, I also check a local mbox on my local computer. The Indicator Applet only shows the mail count for the "localhost" with a zero count of messages. The Applet does not show any of my POP accounts message count, and there appears to be no way to select/identify which mailboxes should display in the Indicator Applet.

Clearer now?

Al

Hello Pedro,

How can this be marked invalid, when I still have this problem?

Indicator Applet is now version 0.4.6.
Evolution is now version 2.30.3.
Evolution Indicator plug-in still shows an empty configuration tab.
I still show a localhost mailbox, with a zero count, in the indicator display, but my other POP mailboxes still don't show up at all.

Please advise.

Al
