should use a background by default

A nautilus window looks sad an empty without a background, yet many people don't even know that a background can be added.

Setting a simple, unobstrusive background would make nautilus windows look much better to newcomers.

Here's the difference between an empty window and one with the snow white background:

Any news on the bug progress?
Setting a nautilus background is one of the first things that I do right after installing Ubuntu.
A Nautilus background (or a set of backgrounds/tiles) should be made to match existing Ubuntu themes.
