package gparted 0.5.1-1ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: error writing to '<standard output>': Input/output error

I tried to install it and it hung. Wouldn't die with Ctrl-C. Killed terminal. Later on the crash report came along. Purged it and reinstalled. Works fine now. I think the first time it stopped at "unpacking gparted from ...".
