Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

In one of my folders I have archived an xcf (GIMP native format) file that cause a Nautilus crash when I try to open it.
I presume that the crash happens when Nautilus try to create the preview icon for the file.

Nautilis crash immediately and in the system messages the following lines are registered:

################################################################################
Aug 18 10:50:06 nicola-laptop kernel: [ 7846.992214] nautilus[8107] trap divide error ip:7f3a17da982b sp:7f3a28826a38 error:0 in libpixbufloader-xcf.so.0.0.0[7f3a17da7000+6000]

Aug 18 10:50:06 nicola-laptop nautilus: [N-A] Nautilus-Actions Menu Extender 2.30.2 initializing...
################################################################################

note: in other folders I have other xcf files that don't cause any problem. The preview icon is created correctly and nautilus function well. So far the file I have attached is the only one that cause the crash.

Thank you taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please try to obtain a backtrace manually following the instructions at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and upload the backtrace (as an attachment) to the bug report. This will greatly help us in tracking down your problem.

BTW It doesn't crash on Maverick.

Hello Pedro,

I have followed the instructions for creating a backtrace with gdb.
All went well but at the moment of the nautilus crash, the Nautilus window freeze, and even the <ctrl+c> in the gdb don't function anymore. So the terminal is not responding. I'm sorry, but I'm able to send you only the attached backtrace without the last commands (backtrace full, info registers, etc.).

Hello again Nicola, could you execute 'backtrace' in gdb ? it looks like you reproduced the crash but we need the back log, if you have any question please don't hesitate in asking here, thanks!.

I have attached the full gdb execution.
I hope this time is the correct file you need.
