ExとPフォントで一部の半角文字の下側が欠ける

以下の下側に伸びる半角文字がExとPフォントの両方で欠けています。
  gjpqy()|{[[}],;/_
geditでフォントをTakaoPGothic.ttfを指定し、フォントサイズを72にして
上記文字列を入力後、下の行に全角文字列を入力すると確認できます。
本不具合はTakaoフォント以外でもIPAフォントでも同様の現象が発生しています。

フォント自体に欠損があるわけではなく、特定のアプリケーション(例: gedit)でグリフの一部が描画
されなくなる時という現象と認識しました。しかし、カーソルを移動すると表示されるので、これは
フォントの問題ではなく描画側の問題だと思われます。

This is not glyph error but some of glyphs (e.g. gjpqy()|{[[}],;/_) are not correctly rendered with
specific applications (i.e. gedit). However, is it font bug? It seems renderer bug since when I move
mouse cursor to another place, it shows fine.

Is this often reproducible? I sometimes get a problem where part of glyphs are not rendered, but it is not limited to Takao fonts; other fonts are affected as well.

It could be a renderer bug.

Okay, after looking at your screenshot again and again, I finally understood what you meant. Please disregard comment #3.

It seems that the ascender and the descender in Takao PGothic overlaps. Try the following:

gjpqy()|{[[}],;/_
ばぼげがげぽ

You'll see that the dakuten sometimes touch the letters above it.

But at least in your screenshot, all are fully rendered. See what happens in geany instead (in my attached screenshot)
