Bug Description
I'm running ubuntu/studio 10.04 (but it says regular ubuntu on the about page) x64. I first started experiencing this problem with firefox 3.6 but then I installed chromium too to see if I could bypass the problem but I can't.
when I'm on the internet I'll get redirected randomly on many different sites all the time. For example, sometimes if I type in google I'll get redirected to a myspace page or the w3c content guidelines page (I never visit either page by the way), and if I try to go to facebook I'll get redirected to google, etc. Also many times when I'm on google and I click a link that i've searched, it thinks that the site I was going to go to was part of google and will give me a google 404 error. It's very frustrating.
