The new ubiquity installer doesn't fit in a fairly standard default 800x600 screen. The window is not maximisable or resizable.

To be clear, the ubiquity application fits fine, just the slideshow has not been redesigned for Maverick yet with the new default application sizes.

I agree it needs to either auto-resize or be a little smaller. It looks really silly in VirtualBox too.

The Ubuntu slideshow for Maverick does have a new design. (Sorry, still upcoming. Monday?). Resolution is something like 754x440. For reference, the current one is 798x451.

As far as I'm aware, that shouldn't actually be _appearing_ in your case; there's a file attached to the slideshow stating its minimum resolution, and if that can't be displayed Ubiquity is meant to just not show a slideshow at all. I would guess the change comes with Ubiquity's awesome new design. We'll see how things fit together when the new design is in, anyway :)

Between the current design and the vertical space consumed by Unity, I think we can consider this one fixed. Ubiquity also maintains consistent dimensions throughout the install process, so future issues related to size should be sent that way.
