Bug Description

Binary package hint: plasma-widget-networkmanagement

network-manager-openvpn-kde:

After creating a OpenVPN connection I was asked to enter the password for kwallet. After that nothing else happened. I rebooted and tried to activate the OpenVPN connection. I was asked to enter the kwallet password. After that the GUI showed "activating", but the connection was never established. Esp. there was no dialog to enter the pass phrase protecting the OpenVPN key.

Using Ubuntu and network-manager-openvpn-gnome it works like a charm.

I would be great to see it in Ubuntu.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner.

As indicated by MiSza (in the previous post), there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect 619230 and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
