when i try install clamav, he give error "dpkg --configure";

i installed the package clamav-data and installation working ok, but the package clamav-daemon never install!

Is there an adm group defined on your system?

don't have "adm" group!

have only "admin" group!

You should add the group "groupadd adm". Was this a fresh install or an upgrade? Please check your system logs to see if you can find out if the group was removed.

its a fresh install of ubuntu 10.04!

i not removed the group adm and nothing found in syslog!

Looking at the dpkg terminal log file again the first package trying to be installed is clamav-freshclam:

I tried recreating this a Lucid chroot by installing clamav-freshclam using apt and was unsuccessful. Its hard to know how exactly this occurred without know the installation procedure used. Were you using apt or synaptic or something else to install clamav?
