Bug Description
The export bitmap dialog has a file chooser to allow you to select/create the filename. It's slightly confusing because the button on the chooser says "Save", but it doesn't do any saving. Also when you move the SVG file, you have to rebrowse and select an output filename again. I have a few ideas to solve this:
1) The Save button could be better named "Select" or "Choose" to match the way it actually works. Currently, it appears as though the Save button will save the file, but it doesn't, you need to press export too.
2) Rework the bottom portion of the export bitmap dialog as follows:
* Relabel the "Browse" button to "Export As...",
* Relabel the "Save" button on the popup file chooser to "Export", and make it actually perform the export (and then close the export bitmap dialog).
3) Or do this:
* Two radio buttons: A directory chooser button + dialog that can be chosen and a fixed option "Export to same directory as drawing" that can be chosen
* A separate filename entry (e.g. just "myfile.png") and an export button
Or some other way entirely, but I don't think it makes a lot of sense at the moment.
These things look this way for me on Windows 7 in Inkscape 0.47, but I imagine it's the same on all platforms.
