For future reference, the battery applet is part of the Awn Extras project. If you have any future problems with this applet, they should be filed in the Awn Extras bug tracker.

Could you translate the GError to English, please.

Also specify the version of awn-extras. In Ubuntu this has been splitted up in multiple packages, should be something beginning with awn-applets I think.

@onox: the error says it's an unknown image file format, in C this is GDK_PIXBUF_ERROR_UNKNOWN_TYPE

Battery applet uses .svg icons. Based on the amount of information I have, I think this is an error on the user's part.
