No direct link between Ubuntu hall of fame and Launchpad

I think it would be great to get some profiling of the Ubuntu hall of fame on Launchpad http://hall-of-fame.ubuntu.com/ somewhere, possibly under Ubuntu project. People don't know about the Hall of Fame and I think if they did there might be more of an incentive to take part.

Laura, what do you mean by "profiling" and "direct link" ? I agree that not many people know about the Hall of Fame, but I'm not sure that a link on Launchpad pointing to it (or anything similar) is the best solution. The Hall of Fame is only for Ubuntu, it is not for all Launchpad projects. I think a link on ubuntu.com would be much more appropriate. At the same time, we need to be careful not to promote it too much and cause it to turn into a competition for the highest rating (aka going for quantity instead of quality).

Well it might be nice to know if you were doing x amount of translations see here on the hall of fame others who've done a similar job. It would encourage others to get to know others in the area they are helping out. Perhaps LP isn't an ideal place, if it were on ubuntu.com it might be more prominent.

I think it is also worth noting that Launchpad does have https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+topcontributors , which shows the top contributors (based on karma) in the various sections of Launchpad for a project. So you could use that page to see the top contributors to Ubuntu translations.
