Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

The mouspad which is a touch pad on the ACER ASPIRE ONE D250 that I installed Ubuntu 10.10 Alpha 3 onto does not respond to touch and therefore the cursor/pointers do not move around at all and all input has to be done through the terminal with keyboard commands.

I don't think the D250 uses a synaptics touchpad which may be the problem ?

My D250 touchpad stopped working when the 10.10 final release came out, but worked when i was using the beta. USB mouse works fine.

Hi bug reporter,
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner .There have been many changes in ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. If you could test the current Ubuntu stable release(maverick ubuntu 10.10),this would help us a lot.

So this bug still exists...

I'd like to voice that this bug is still around (or at least something akin to it) on the d250, in the normal desktop release for 10.10 (neither myself or my friend who's computer it is like the NBR release of ubuntu). Over the weekend my plan is to attempt to remove 10.10 and install 9.10 to at least get the touchpad to work.If anyone wants log files/error messages let me know.
