Bug Description

Binary package hint: geeqie

geeqie sometimes crashes with "assertion failed: (fc && fd)". This appears to be related to permissions. It looks like if the directory has two or more images that geeqie doesn't have read access to then it'll crash in this way.

To reproduce:

  mkdir foo
  cd foo
  sudo bash
  touch a.jpg b.jpg
  chmod og= *.jpg
  exit
  geeqie

Interestingly, it doesn't crash if there's only one image it can't read.

This type of crash can also happen if you browse to a directory with this sort of permission problem.
