Bug Description

Binary package hint: fwts

A newer version 0.18.0 of the fwts tools is now available:

https://launchpad.net/~firmware-testing-team/+archive/ppa-firmware-test-suite/+sourcepub/1265237/+listing-archive-extra

This fixes an S3 suspend/resume test that got accidentally #ifdef'd out in the previous release. My fail.

Can this be uploaded? Thanks.

Actually, I've had to bump this to 0.18.1, so can this be uploaded instead?

Thanks

Hi,

As we are actually past Feature Freeze please follow the FFe process, described at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess

Once you've got the Ubuntu Release team ack, please subscribe again the sponsors.

thanks,

Freeze Exception request:

a) A description of the proposed changes, with sufficient detail to estimate their potential impact on the distribution:

1. Version 0.18.0:
Undef'd the S3 test, this was accidentally #ifdef'd out from a previous version. This will restore previously working code.
2. Improve the configure script - namely checking for required library libpcre, required headers and external library functions. This does not in fact change any of the code in the final build.

b) A rationale for the exception, explaining the benefit of the change:

This will restore the important suspend/resume S3 test back to a working state. Without this change, the S3 test is broken.

c) Any additional information which would be helpful in considering the decision.

This is required for OEM firmware testing.

Colin: I've uploaded, but there are a couple of things to fix for future:
* Please close this bug in the changelog (I added it)
* Uploading from PPAs means we get all your intermediate changelog entries (I removed them)
* E: fwts: copyright-should-refer-to-common-license-file-for-lgpl - You should include the licence text in debian/copyright (not the entire licence just the grant (as would be found in source code comments) and an explanation to find the body of the licence in common-licences.

Bleh. Added the changelog entry but didn't build it so it would close...
