Edgy Live cd doesn't start up, then an error message appears

Bug Description

With Edgy knot 3 Live CD, startup is slow. The boot screen stays unchanged for a few minutes. Then, an error message appears. It says:

[17179745.29600] Buffer I/O error on device hdc logical block 536861872

The current Dapper Live cd, however, does work fine.

From the error message, I'm afraid it's bad news.

It looks like your hard drive is dying, and is returning I/O errors when it should be returning data.

This would explain why the Live CD works just fine (it's not using the drive)

Err, sorry, I mean that your edgy CD is dying -- bad media, or a bad burn, most likely
