Bug Description
So the main problem is, when i tell wicd to connect to some wired networks (specially those with Cisco STP enabled ports). wicd, will up then down the interface before launching the dhcp client, which will then timeout before the 30 second hold down time that Spanning tree forces on all ports... thus producing an error..
my way around this is to run the dhcpcd -d eth0 from my console.. since that won't put down the interface, and restart the STP count again...
Some solution would be, to either be able to increase the dhcp timeout, or more ideally, disable the interface down/up process before launching dhcpcd...
I am on Slackware64-13.1 running wicd-1.7.0
Thanks!!

I'm observing the same with wicd-1.7.2.4 on Gentoo ~AMD64 with dhcpcd-6.1.0
