During upgrade, flash-kernel will fail if the image has a previously unused u-boot partition unless the following conditions exist: kernel. conf exists with both UBOOT_PART= and ROOT= are defined to existing partitions.
a) The partition contains uImage, uInitrd, and boot.scr. These can be created with "touch <filename>".
b) File /etc/flash-
c) /boot/boot.script exists
