Thank you for this report. Unfortunately, we need some more information before the developers can begin to resolve this issue. From the DpkgTerminalLog.gz file attached:

Adding new user `hsqldb' (UID 116) with group `hsqldb' ...

Not creating home directory `/var/lib/hsqldb'.

Required file is gone: /var/run/hsqldb.pid

Failed to start org.hsqldb.Server.

See log file '/var/log/hsqldb.log'.

invoke-rc.d: initscript hsqldb-server, action "start" failed.

dpkg: error processing hsqldb-server (--configure):

 subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Please attach as a plain text file the log file '/var/log/hsqldb.log'.
