Bug Description

Binary package hint: ncbi-tools-x11

The program sequin (used to prepare DNA sequence submission to NCBI) is installed by the package ncbi-tools-x11. On Dapper (32 or 64bit) it does not work:

[tristan@babylon ~] sequin
Couldn't find X visual appropriate for OpenGL!

I tried to use the binary distributed by NCBI but it neither works, this time with a different error message:

[tristan@babylon sequin] ./sequin
./sequin: error while loading shared libraries: libXm.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[tristan@babylon sequin] locate libXm.so.2
/usr/lib/libXm.so.2.0.1
/usr/lib/libXm.so.2

I experienced this problem on two diffrent computers running dapper, but not on a third one. An unresolved dependence problem? Which package to remove/install?

You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Thanks in advance.

I don't have this problem anymore. Unfortunately, I don't remind how and when the bug was fixed. Cheers.
