Bug Description

Binary package hint: stopmotion

If i there is an image in a path that includes arabic (and probably reproducable on other non-latin utf8 characters), it will bring a misleading error message "You do not have permission to read that file"

To reporduce, try to create a path such as "/tmp/تجربة" and have an image there, then try to add it as a frame in stopmotion.

I can't add an image from a path that contains an "é" character. In French, the default "Video" folder is called "Vidéo". If I move the files to a path that doesn't contain a non-ASCII character, it works.

Same for Spanish "Imágenes" and "Vídeo", default folder names in Ubuntu.
