Bug Description

There are fixes in the Python bindings of zookeeper which we've pushed upstream and Ensemble depends upon, but they are not in any stable release yet. We need zookeeper packages built from that source in our base images.

Bug #614490 is related to this work, even though not a requirement/dependency.

custom zoopackages have been uploaded to the ensemble ppa. the ensemble/debian/ec2-build script now also includes building binaries for zookeeper in a clean environment and fetching them to a local machine.
