Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

DSL Connections (PPPoE) are always listed under Wired Networks, so when you are connected to a Wireless Network, they will not be listed, and you can not connect to them.

I have PPPoE over my Wireless Network, and I should always use command line (pppoeconf, pon, poff) to make the connection.
However, when I'm connecting to the network using an Ethernet cable, they will show up and I can use them without any problem.

I am also facing the same issue as described by "Moein Alinaghian".
Kindly fix it. Its fails the purpose of wireless for me as I am not able to see DSL connection in Network Manager when I am connected on wireless (not wired). As soon as I connect wired (LAN), I start seeing the option of connectiong through DSL in my Network Manager.

Is there any work around for the time this bug is not fixed?

Regards,
Gaurav

Please can we add the ability to make dsl (pppoe) connections over wi-fi using the network manager. You can do it over wired but not over wifi.

The workaround is shown here:

This isn't supported yet, which would make this a Wishlist bug. To be fixed at some point in the future.

Looks like this would be a duplicate of bug 232172
