Translation template jobs are breaking the build system on staging

Bug Description

The translation template jobs are breaking the staging scanner, because they refer to a None branch. If they do this on production, they will disable the buildfarm, so I am marking this critical.

Do you happen to know more about this? Was the branch removed (i.e. could this be related to fix for bug #602333)? Also, has bzrlib upgrade landed?

Deleting a branch definitely doesn't cause this in the current codebase.

The only instance of a problem I found in the staging db was one I created manually for testing. It had its branch FK set to null.

I can't recreate that state by letting the system create the branchjob (and buildqueue) in the normal way and then deleting the branch; that works properly.

I'm now trying to let one of my jobs run to completion, to see if that creates a weird state.

Nope, letting the job run to completion produced no weirdness, nor did hitting the Delete button on the branch while the job is running.
