Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

Hi all,
I'm using kubuntu lucid on hp workstation whit nvidia video card:

Description: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS
Release: 10.04

40:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV38GL [Quadro FX 1300] (rev a2)

I have installed nvidia driver version 173.14.15 recommended from distro.

When user logout I get black screen and message "not signal" is displayed on monitor.
I can't login through ssh and ctrl+alt+fx not working.... I must reboot my system pressing the reset button.

At login time (kdm login) any tty not working, after ctrl+alt+fx the monitor is black and i can see a blinking cursor, however i can come back to the kdm login (ctrl+alt+f7)

I have also installed gnome-desktop and now gdm is the default login manager, and i don't have this problems.

Regards

That version is no more supported; please open a new bug report if the actual archive found version also has the same issue.
