Bug Description

Binary package hint: xchat

Steps to reproduce: Enter the server list dialog and make a new network, then edit it.
There is now a default server known as "newserver/6667". Try to edit it, changing it into the server name you want. Exit the box by clicking somewhere else. The box now changes back to "newserver/6667".
Expected my new server name to stay.

Bug is present in both Lucid and Maverick.
A workaround is to add a new server, enter your correct server name there, then remove the old default server "newserver/6667".

Changed in xchat (Ubuntu):

Easier workaround: hit the Enter key on the keyboard after modifying the newserver line.

I can reproduce the bug in xchat 2.8.8-1ubuntu1 in Maverick. I guess that the reported information on the expected and actual behaviour is enough on solving the bug.

Changed in xchat (Ubuntu):
