Bug Description

"Zipper is a tool for extracting and viewing archive files in GNUstep"

GNUstep? Really? That's going to confuse most users. I don't think we need to include that at all.

This also falls under the category of other previously mentioned archive managers that may confuse users.

From http://xanthippe.dyndns.org/Zipper/ :
Pre-requisites: "Zipper needs (of course) GNUstep."

There is no side-stepping and not mentioning a much need dependency is not really ideal, when it is required for the app to work.

As for what GNUstep is , kindly read: http://www.gnustep.org/information/aboutGNUstep.html

I dont see much benefit in making a change here , afaik , we need to mention GNUStep.
One possible improvement might be mentioning it as "GNUStep development environment" but this is too trivial a change to be an improvement.

Marking papercut as invalid .
The package maintainer can decide if this is a change worth making..

GNUstep is required because it's compiled against its core packages (e.g. gnustep-base). You don't have to prepare a full GNUstep environment, though.

Description could be improved, but I think it's better to forward this to Debian.

Discussed with mpt and he mentions, a little restructuring of the sentence might be helpful:
"Reword the sentence so it looks more like "Zipper is a tool for {extracting and viewing archive files} in GNUstep" and less like "Zipper is a tool for extracting and viewing {archive files in GNUstep}".

Simplest would be to add a punctuation for this as: "Zipper is a tool for extracting and viewing archive files, in GNUstep"

Also to note, we have a similar unresolved issue about handling such odd toolkits:

Thanks for the suggestion about the long description, I'll fix that with the next update.

However calling GNUstep (which is basically a free implementation of Mac OS X Cocoa) is very odd to me.
It's a very nice toolkit, much older than thoroughly designed than all these new ones (gtk one among them).
