I just did an OEM install on Ubuntu amd64 desktop, and it worked flawlessly. How did you enable OEM mode? Did you see "OEM mode" in the ubiquity window title bar? If you did, please attach /var/log/installer/*. Thanks!

Colin King also tested OEM mode (according to ISO tracker), and reported success: http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/result/4329/162

maybe if that's relevant, I've made two offline installation for OEM mode. I see the oem user and the custom installation process (without login prompting in ubiquity), but I have no icon on the desktop for telling "my OEM config is finished" after reboot.

Attaching /var/log/installer/*

In my successful install I did not have this error message, but it could be that it fetched oem-config from the network.

Release-noted for alpha-3, since it has an easy workaround (be online), but we should get that working again soon.

Odd, something must be unsetting APT::CDROM::NoMount

The logs also had a traceback due to DebconfInstallProgress.updateInterface not existing. Mario fixed this in ubiquity 2.3.4 (changelog entry "Correct a few more deprecated apt calls."), and I can no longer reproduce this bug, so it looks like that fixed this bug as a side-effect. That kind of makes sense.
