ghostscript can't find Times-Roman font, bails

Binary package hint: ghostscript

I believe this bug is related to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ghostscript/+bug/321932, which is marked fixed, so I have opened a new one here.

I am still suffering from problems with ghostscript 8.71.dfsg.1-0ubuntu5.2

I have ttf-mscorefonts-installer installed.

Steps to reproduce (using graphviz package):

Reference working png file:

A lot of googling around and I found few answers. I found this very old bug on the graphviz site:

Where the author states:

"[...] Similarly, gs must not be installed correctly, since we are simply using the font Times-Roman, which is a built-in font of postscript and one we've been using for 15 years."
