I checked in Apache manual and you can increase the limit in Apache to 8
190 (http://httpd.apache.org/docs/1.3/mod/core.html#limitrequestline ).
But this is still not enough.
If any better solution, more than welcome :)

This seems to be a duplicate of bug #519720 (though over SSL).

As a workaround, the directive to set the max HTTP request line size on Apache is LimitRequestLine (http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/core.html#limitrequestline); by default is 8KB, it worked for us setting it to 16KB on most situations (but sometimes even 16KB is not enough :( ).

I wonder why do we use so many parameters to a GET request. Such ones should
only be send with a POST request.

But such a change would be major for the web framework.
