Bug Description

I'm using Logitech ClearChat USB headset. It worked always good but as I connected it yesterday to my laptop the operating system stopped to respond. The CPU usage was probably very high as few seconds later the CPU-Fan has been enabled and rotates on the highest level. I have tried to watch the dmesg output but the system died immediately so there was no output.

Since I used this headset last time there were several system updates and if I remember right, there was also ALSA update so maybe it is related to this update.

Hi Neo,

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.
