Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

When I drag files from a Nautilus window to the waste bin, after a few files I tend to get into a situation where the mouse cursor freezes in the shape of an upper-left-hand window corner. Nautilus clearly has a grab on the mouse cursor, and the only way to get rid of it is to kill Nautlius from a text console.

Correction - the mouse cursor when Nautilus gets stuck is a closed hand with a small arrow pointing upwards and leftwards in the bottom right corner of the closed hand.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of Nautilus is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance.

Just tried it out again on a fully updated Maverick system and this is still reproducible.

The bug is old and Ubuntu changed quite a lot since, there has also been no activity here nor similar reports. Closing since we believe the issue as described is deprecated but feel free to file a new report if you still have problems in recent Ubuntu versions.
