Assumes that NetworkManager is controlling the network interfaces

Bug Description

The ubuntu-sso-client code doesn't currently handle the case of NetworkManager being active, but not controlling the interface (due to it being listed in /etc/network/interfaces). Trying to connect with this setup resulted in "We are not online" in the log.
This happened when running it on a Debian unstable system.
