Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
This bug looks a lot like bug #472717 but I report since I see differences.
Note: Apparently my batteryy is broken so that ubuntu reports "laptop battery capacity is low (42.3%)" at the startup.
I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 (freshly Installed recently preserving /home)
Once I unplug the power it prompts to hibernate saying battery capacity is 0.
But when checked on pallette icon it reports 40 mins remaining time.
If I OK the hibernate dialog, machine hibernates. If I Cancel it machine locks down.
And sometimes it hibernates right after waking up from hibernate. (I say sometimes because I only have memories of happening this once or twice and couldn't test and confirm).
I installed xfce4-power-manager and started using it and now I don't have any problem.
