1) Does the package build in lucid, if so are there any changes?
2) Does the package install correctly?
3) Does the package run properly?

Please report on these and provide a build log, and and installation log.

Hi Steve,

I've recently managed how to use PPA for this purpose and I made a backport for lucid directly from debian unstable upstream package.

Build log:

I haven't had any problem so far.

We can't backport a higher version from Debian.

What I am willing to do is sponsor an update into Karmic, then we can do the backport.

Can you prepare an update for karmic and reply?
