latitude e6400/intel no longer suspends

My dell latitude e6400 (with intel video) no longer suspends. It suspended and resumed perfectly until and including Lucid; I've gotten so used to it being just awesomely perfect that I feel lost now that it's broken. Please make it better! Thanks.
