Binary package hint: scite

When viewing many source files under the SciTE editor under edgy, when clicking on a tab in order to change what source file is being viewed, the content doesn't change but the highlighted tab does.

I second that...

On both of my pc's (one dist-upgraded, one fresh knot 3 install), tabs do not switch the content when clicked...

awesome, then hopefully it will be confirmed and fixed. The little buttons
to switch left and right work, but the actual tabs seems function-less.

To the Ubuntu (Edgy) maintainers,

Please sync scite with debian as the 1.71 .deb works correctly here...

Thanks!

I can confirm this: clicking the tab doesn't work, the icons in the toolbar to go to the prev/next buffer or the keyboard shortcuts work fine, though.

From the Scite 1.71 ChangeLog:
* SciTE on GTK+ tab bar fixed to work on recent versions of GTK+.

Please use the latest version or backport a patch (sadly I can't seem to find a standalone patch), because currently scite is completely unusable on edgy.

I am running edgy, completely updated && upgraded on AMD64 and the SciTE
editor still has the same issue on my machine.

Attaching a patch which fixes the problem. Michael, UVF masters, is this ok to upload?

Gauvain, this is no new upstream, but just a bugfix. If the patch works for you, just proceed with uploading
