Bug Description

If you have the Desktop Pager set to show desktop wallpaper, there is a bug when you add or remove applet handles. The desktop pager will remove the wallpaper from the pager. To reproduce:
1) Right click the Pager applet > Pager Options > Under "Background" pick "Desktop Wallpaper"
2) Right click on panel > Configure Panel > Appearance > Advanced Options > Change the Applet Handles setting from "Hide" to "Visible" or "Fade out" or visa versa and click Apply.
The way I get the desktop wallpaper backgrounds back is step 1.

Is this still an issue with the latest updates?

Plasma's desktop pager (which replaces kde3's) doesn't have this issue.
I should also note that it doesn't have the functionality to display the wallpaper as the pager background. :P
The wishlist bug for that is bug 244094.
