Bug Description
I connected my laptop running current Edgy/AMD64 to my Motorola V300 phone with a USB cable (no bluetooth on this phone). I can upload and download files and ALSA recognizes the phone as a sound device:
$ cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [IXP ]: ATIIXP - ATI IXP
1 [Modem ]: ATIIXP-MODEM - ATI IXP Modem
2 [V300 ]: USB-Audio - Motorola Phone (V300)
However, it's not possible to play sounds on the phone. Doing " mpg321 -s abilene_full.mp3 |aplay -Dplughw:2" gives no error message, but no sound plays either.
Doing "alsamixer -c2" gives the error message "No mixer elems found".
I was told by Daniel Chen (crimsun) that this means that alsa needs a quirk for this phone. I found a spec sheet at http://
