Bug Description
System: Ubuntu 10.04 amd64
Soundcard: Realtek ALC268
This happened after updating the kernel from 2.6.32.23 to 2.6.32.24 and booting with the new kernel -- also updated the linux-alsa-
Alsa-info attached.
If I boot with the previous kernel version (2.6.32.23), the soundcard is recognized as expected.

In an attempt to fix the problem, I followed these directions to upgrade Alsa, but it didn't make any difference: ubuntuforums. org/showpost. php?p=6589810& postcount= 1
