Binary package hint: gnome-system-
Gnome process list shoud have filter by process name. For example in Kubuntu system monitor have filter and "kill" button. I can find freez process by name and kill it, without special applet or using console.

I guess this is technically a feature request, not a bug, but I've been annoyed about this for some time. It's a much-needed functionality that would be easy to implement and would perhaps double the program's usefulness.
Are the dev's afraid I'd be 'confused' by such an advanced capability, and that my workflow would be 'simpler' and more 'intuitive' if I'm forced to manually scroll through an enormous list to find what I'm looking for? I still like Gnome/Ubuntu more than the alternatives, but sometimes... >:O
