Same on my server using ext4 on Ubuntu 10.04 (Kernel 2.6.32-24-generic) when I had to plug off the power cable.

Uptimed should use the backup /var/spool/uptimed/records.old and not start from scratch.
Are the files /var/spool/uptimed/records and /var/spool/uptimed/records.old always open or just when updating (every 600 secs on my machine)?

Same here on Ubuntu 10.10 Server after a crash :/ - the whole point of uptimed for me is to keep track of uptimes between crashes. This really needs to be fixed.

Could someone with the rights skills please make a backport of the new version from Debian to Ubuntu? :)
