Bug Description

Hi,
it is not possible to copy text from applications like gedit or firefox to OpenOffice2 on AMD64. Running the 32bit Version of OpenOffice, this works perfectly.

I can definitely confirm this bug. I am running Breezy for amd64, too, and i am experiencing the exact same problem. I can copy and paste between different OO.o windows, i can copy from OO.o (Writer) and paste it into gedit (or any other non-OO-app), but i cannot copy from gedit and paste it into OO.o (tested with Writer). The "Paste" menu item is there, but nothing happens, when i click it.
Some problem with the 32-bit libs or c&p between 32-bit and 64-bit apps maybe?

-David

Have you tested if copying works for you in other architectures?

In many programs, deselecting erases copy buffer. Bug #34629.
