Bug Description

Sorry for this unspecific bugreport.

After a long time I rebootet my notebook for the first time (usually I do suspend/resume). It does not startup anymore. Not single-user-mode, nothing. Only init=/bin/sh helps. After a debug session (that involved a lot of magic-sysreq-r) I verified that installing sysvinit init helped.

I'm happy to provide more information, but I was not able to find too much info about upstart (in especially how to turn it into DEBUG mode).

The problem magically curred itself today.

I strongly suspect that it was checking my fs and I halted at this point without any message/progress information (I looked at all available consoles).

I have marked this as a duplicate of of that reason
