Bug Description

Binary package hint: upower

Gnome-power manager won't suspend the laptop when the battery reaches critical level, making my system shutdown without any warning because the battery ran out of power.

This seems to be caused by upower not reporting the battery information periodically. This issue is currently happening on Lucid, on former version it was working ok (i.e. karmic and older ubuntu versions).

Note to self: devkit-power does give periodic updates, so something must have changed in the battery polling code between DK-power and upower.
