external tool doesn't work against a new file

If you define a script like this

#!/bin/sh
chmod a+x $GEDIT_CURRENT_DOCUMENT_PATH;
$GEDIT_CURRENT_DOCUMENT_PATH

and set Save option as "Current Document" it only works if the file you're editing has been saved to disk previously.
If you try to execute against a new file, GEdit ask for a name and save it to disk only (without executing its content)
