Bug Description

gnome-control-center 1:2.30.1-1ubuntu1, 1:2.30.1-1ubuntu2, Ubuntu Maverick
compiz 1:0.8.6-0ubuntu4

Theme switching is broken because the Window Border no longer changes.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Select a theme
2. Notice that the Window Border has not changed and the Custom theme is now highlighted

The bug occurs in maverick (the second time). dpkg --configure -a doesn't change anything, nor does resetting gnome settings.

confirmed in maverick. *but* the problem only happens with compiz. if window manager is metacity or mutter theme change works fine.

Yeah, likely. I'll check it against compiz++ and report, too. Or isn't compiz++ going in for maverick?

gnome-appearance-properties doesn't exist in Ocelot. The same symptom exists with "System Settings" > "Appearance", but probably for different reasons. That's reported as bug 835266.

That configuration dialog is deprecated in GNOME3 and Oneiric so closing the bug, feel free to open new bugs about other issues you might find though
