Bug Description

I can hear constant crackling from built in speakers. Changing output/input device to USB headphones nor muting all devices help to stop it. When I play sound (any video or audio player) crackling intercepts the sound but only if output device is built in audio. If output device is USB headphones, sounds plays smoothly but cracking continues on built in speakers. I read and tried several option or fixes suggested by people on forums however nothing seems to help. My laptop is Sony Vaio VGN-SZ4vWN/X. Crackling is in frequency (slightly less) and randomness like it was used as telegraph machine. Although not too loud you can imagine how annoying this is.
Thanks

Hi uvaio,

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I moved power cable away from laptop case one day and it seems to be gone. sorry for bothering, this is so ridiculous to do construction of laptop and not to protect speakers against power interfering. I spent ages to fight this thinking its software problem.
