Bug Description

Binary package hint: banshee-community-extensions

Followed the https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MainInclusionProcess and all requirements are complete for Main Inclusion of banshee-community-extension.

Availability: in universe
Rationale: Banshee will be the default media in UNE in maverick and we need the ubuntuone music store integration
Security: None known as of today
Quality assurance: the package was mostly tracked before by debian.
UI standards: Fits better than rhythmbox on small screen, GNOME standard.
Dependencies: some bindings needs to be promoted, there are already tracked in the banshee MIR (LP: #607291) as bug tasks (libtaglib2.0-cil, libnotify-cil-dev)
Standards compliance: follow FHS guidelines
Maintenance: ubuntu-desktop team will maintain it as soon as it's the UNE default

I suggest that you only promote the source and banshee-extensions-common banshee-extension-soundmenu banshee-extension-ubuntuonemusicstore binaries.

Invalidated bug tasks that were required due to build-deps brought in by openvp extension, which we will temporarily disable.

The plan is to move sound menu and u1ms into Banshee proper, and then we will be able to demote b-c-e again and re-enable openvp

As of today, the Sound Menu and Ubuntu One Music Store extensions have been moved out of banshee-community-extensions and are now part of the main Banshee source :
http://git.gnome.org/browse/banshee/commit/?id=dcca3c7
http://git.gnome.org/browse/banshee/commit/?id=369038

They will be included in our upcoming 1.9.1 release.

So I think this MIR is now obsolete.

Excellent! Yes, I agree :-)

I'll make sure to re-enable openvp soon.
