Bug Description

I understand that after so many system starts, Mint 9 checks the hard drive for errors. It seems to never finish. At first you see the percentage that it has completed which goes to 100%. The screen just stays the same, saying it is checking the drive for errors. You have the dots under the Linux Mint heading going from white to green and back again but, seems nothing else is happening. I have no activity from my hard drive light on my computer during this time. My system is the Mint 9 32 bit Gnome.

Thanks Again;

you can repeat this bug by entering this command at the terminal:
sudo touch /forcefsck

after reboot, it will check the drive but after 100% it does freeze. I know pressing C will stop the process but it is just annoying.
